The Hen-Na Parties

The Hen-Na Parties.....

As the blogger herself, she feels too that this His & Hers Blog became outdated and boring. So yes, it's time to update on the just-happenings for her first. Before she manages to get any photos of his preps.

And so the time was nearing(that time). Chapter 2 of the Prep episode was the Hen-Na Party!

On the 17th, she decided to be minah getek and ask her best friends during the ponytail days to come over to yes, treat her like a Queen, while she gets henna-nised. She ain't beautiful but doesnt mean she can't get the attention she wants. Hah!

And of cos, things happen (Shhh! we're not suppose to disclose). So yes, the bride to be had to suffer for the akibat of not listening to Suhana..."Yan! Kencing dulu...pergi..kencing dulu..." which resulted in us getting side ached for laughing too much in the kitchen. The Queen, in a sarong...surrounded by her maidens....trying to take off.....hmmmmm

We leave it as it is. Alin, would u like to pass me the recording? So i can burn it? like literally? haha!

pics below....there's more of cos but being the busy us....where got time to upload....by the time we upload...we prolly are breast feeding already!! enjoy!

Erliana has the knack to do these nifty gift-sets everytime she comes out n meet us.

Of cos, i got the most OTT box lah. When i open, its JENG JENG JENG!
Looks nice and it smells good too. I shall not describe wat i got but....

Seriously, these shots? Pre-staged. Just cos Nana's hand was shaky n the pics turn out blurred. Im not sure why she thinks im funny when im opening the box. Seriously. Do i even look funny? eh?

She baked brownie for me too. Sedap tau!! Any orders?

Wat more can a girl ask for? Her pillars of strength of a 10-year friendship are still with her.

Stoppit already! Getek kan?!

And of cos, my girlies each get a dosage of pre-hennanised fewling on tht nite.

Kak Fizah-O at work.

I would like to thank norin too for staying with me the whole nite, sleeping with me on the floor covered with white plastic. Ur the sweetest best fren any gal can ever have!

And below now is Chapter One. 13th Jan, my Singa Inn gals, threw a pot-luck Cluck-Cluck Party for me at my house. Being Us, It aint a Party if it Aint got no theme. So it was the Jap Sch Gals theme for that day. With glorious fattening food and of cos, tit-bits from the ol-skool days just to psyched it all up. My small, humble home, managed to accomodate all the crazy gals with their humorous antics, and yet again, i found, i do have good friends around.

That me, that Fifi the Prefect, That Candice My rommie the Brit!

Who Dis? well, i decided not to have a stripper (my girls really did want to get me one!) So instead i got a young male, handsome pulak tu, entertainer!! So phaedophile me!

The Apron. I am going to be the official Minister of Home Affairs!

Games were played, each had a note of encouragement for me, which i carefuly placed in a box, where in times of need, i will take each one out n read them n smile with good memories in my mind. And of cos not forgetting the poems they had written for me. Tell me again, what else can a gal be dissatisfied about?

In time, more photos will be uploaded for my viewing pleasure (knowing tht not many ppl read this blog). Poor him, wants a stag nite too. But his prep pics r not ready, so in time......

Till the next chapter!

Registering Our Muslim Matrimonial

And so now its official. The guessings and the plannings and the confusions of the date-settings has come to an end.

And now comes the jitters, the cold-feet, the butterflies in the stomach, the anticipation, the anxiety, the happiness, the sadness......anything and every emotions, all rolled into one.

And we hereby declare that our solemnisation date will be 190108. This will be a small occasion involving family members and very close relatives and friends. Customary will only be done at a later date, when my father can come and join us.

In about a month's time. One month. Sheesh...

It's like a wonderful dream. It's really happening ain't it?

12 December 2007

Is it necessary for a good date/month for Nikah?

And this has been bothering us for awhile....

Cos my side prefers a good day and a good month for this auspicious occasion. But his side has pointed out that a nikah is an auspicious event on its own and there is no need for a good date/month. A good thing like nikah needs to be carried out, favourably, as soon as possible.

Being us, we're confused. And being us, we do not want to disagree with any sides. So its our call. and we have to do our own research.....

And i came across this article.

http://ibnayyub.wordpress.com/2007/07/01/the-need-for-simple-weddings/

And with his words i quote;

"When someone intends to perform two Rakats of Salat then must he print posters and send everyone cards asking them to assemble in the Jame Masjid before performing the two Rakats?"

Cos....Nikah is an ibadah. Which need not be told to the whole world when we want to complete and ibadah.

Which I/We conclude, that yes, we will Nikah soon, regardless of date/month. And only the neccessary people will be there to be my/our witnesses as required in our Hadith.

But cultures and customs will not be forgotten, and a walimah will be done for family and friends at a later date. Walimah's date has been set. Nikah's date has not...

Stay tuned.....!!

To Rent or to Tailor? The verdict....

We thank you all (or some)for your valuable input whether in this board, or verbally.
And with all your comments, we have decided.

So yesterday, 09th dec 07, we have officially tailored our solemnisation costume. Its' beautiful and my future hubby n in laws loved it so much! Mom n dad in-law have decided to tailor for himself and Faizal too for Raya!

More or less, our shopping for the exchanging of gifts is nearly done. Loved what we bought for each other. Practical and useful.

Thank you!!

And do still stay tune.....!

The Prep Course

And the day came....

02 Dec 2007

We met Ustaz Syed Esa. We loved how he touch on marriage subjects. On how he tries to reach out to us but not forgetting tht we came from another era. He has aged, but he keeps in touch with the modern times, the thigns he teach, we can apply. He is not boring, very funny, comical and very entertaining. Our course is a crash one, short and sweet. And marriage is a learnign process, so he kept our session short and simple...but we can come back for more when he conducts other sessions, touching on more elaborate subjects.

But the highlight of the day is......we finally got our cert!!! WOW!! We are so many steps closer to becoming the REAL thing!! Im scared cos i know my priorities will change but nevertheless, we are excited!!

Anyways, if you are interested to study under Ustaz Syed, contact me to get his contact details.
Trust me. He is good. And then you will appreciate Islam, not as a religion, but as The Way of Life.

Stay tuned........

This is mine!!

This is His!!

Our tired faces. Early morning course, back home to go jemputan then finally....ice-cream at swensens!! woot!
